If you love beer and patio vibes for summer then you have come to the right article.
It wasn’t long ago that when you went to the liquor store or your local pub they had mostly domestic beers and 1 or 2 craft beers, nowadays the majority of establishments have about 50% domestic and 50% craft beers.
Gone are the days of the “wine snob” long since replaced with the “beer snob” as local craft micro breweries truly test the limits of what is possible with beer, adding infusions of essential oils, peppers, flavours, and so much more.
If you live nearby Lonsdale Quay or somewhat close to Waterfront Centre in downtown Vancouver, you can take advantage of the quickly developing local beer seen in North Vancouver by visiting the Lower Lonsdale area nearby the Seabus terminal.
With a few new local beer spots recently opened and a few more slated to open later this year, there is no shortage of local experiences for foodies who happen to love cold beer.
LOCAL CRAFT BEER MICROBREWERIES NEARBY LONSDALE QUAY

North Point Brewing Co – the best of both worlds with a location between Lower Lonsdale and The Brewery District
If you were not aware the City of North Vancouver recently approved what is going to be called ‘The Brewery District‘ in Lower Lonsdale east past The Shipyards, which is going to bring many regional talents to the area producing some of the worlds best craft beers, ciders, and hopefully even a distillery will open.
On the North Shore there are a number of other craft breweries, wineries, and distilleries however the list above is just for people looking for craft beer close by the Lonsdale Quay either for drinking on the weekends or after work or similar.
Lastly, we wanted to ensure you knew about the Craft Beer Week Events coming to North Van from October 4th to 11th. You will be able to try special casks, chat with local brewers and sample some of the best beer brewed here on the North Shore.
We are looking forward to seeing you out and about this summer on a local patio nearby.
